History
Incorporated in 1983, D.I.J. Construction began doing utility work including storm sewers, waste water line, concrete inlets and box culverts.
Pavement markings became part of the business in the early 1990s and soon became the main focus of all operations. So much that in 2012, D.I.J. built a plant to manufacture thermoplastic road striping material.
Early in 2019, D.I.J. expanded in the seal coat paving business with the acquisition of Newman and Keng Paving, based in Giddings, Texas.
Today, both the Bertram and Giddings locations service the state of Texas roadways with the same attention to detail, quality and service its people have had since 1983.
Community Outreach
D.I.J. supports the local community in a variety of ways from assembling playscapes at the local park, sponsoring local charity events, funding special projects at the local elementary school and supporting local youth organizations like Burnet County Livestock show, Bertram Youth Baseball/Softball, and the YMCA. Giving back to the community has always been a part of D.I.J. and it will continue to be a priority in the future.
